Why Portsmouth Patients Choose Gentle Family Dentistry
Portsmouth residents have plenty of options when it comes to dental care, but more and more families from the city are making the short trip south to Hampton to see Dr. Bei Li at Gentle Family Dentistry. The reason is simple: quality, comfort, and a full range of services under one roof.
The drive from Portsmouth couldn't be easier. Hop on I-95 South to Exit 2, follow Route 101 East briefly, then south on Route 1 directly to 861 Lafayette Rd. in Hampton. Most Portsmouth patients are in our parking lot — free, right out front — in about 15 minutes. If you prefer surface roads, Route 1 South from Portsmouth takes you straight to us with no highway at all.
One of the biggest draws for Portsmouth commuters is our Thursday evening hours. We stay open until 7:30 pm every Thursday, which means you can schedule your appointment after your workday is done without rearranging your schedule or leaving early. No mid-day appointments, no rushing across town during lunch. Come see us after work and be home for dinner.
Irene T. from Portsmouth put it best: "I used to dread going to the dentist. Not anymore. Dr. Li makes me feel safe and secure." That kind of transformation — from dental anxiety to genuine comfort — is what we work toward with every patient who walks through our door.
Full-Service Dentistry for Portsmouth Area Patients
One of the biggest advantages of choosing Gentle Family Dentistry is that we handle virtually everything in-house. Portsmouth patients don't need to drive to multiple specialists for different procedures — we offer comprehensive care from routine cleanings to advanced restorative work, all in one familiar, welcoming environment.
When Portsmouth patients need a crown, Dr. Li takes impressions and places a temporary crown at the first visit. Your custom porcelain crown is fabricated by our dental lab and cemented at a follow-up appointment — designed to look and function exactly like your natural tooth.
We also offer Zoom! professional whitening for Portsmouth patients looking to brighten their smiles, Invisalign clear aligners for adults and teens who want straighter teeth without metal braces, and dental implants for those dealing with missing teeth. For families, our preventive care program — cleanings, exams, sealants, and fluoride — keeps patients of all ages on track. And if a dental emergency strikes, we prioritize urgent cases quickly.
Portsmouth neighbors in Greenland and Newington are equally welcome — the commute is the same or shorter, and we're always accepting new patients from across the Seacoast region.
